बोलबाला
“Bolbala” means dominance, influence, reign — as in “the reign of speaking.” It captures what we want: a world where Hindi doesn't just survive — it thrives. Children don't just hear it. They love it, speak it, and pass it on.
Bolbala: Where Hindi Comes Alive
We're on a mission to keep Hindi alive — one family at a time.
Bolbala started with a single question from a parent watching his daughter drift away from Hindi: why isn't there something that makes this language click for children growing up between two worlds?
Where it started
Our founder grew up in North India. Hindi wasn't something he “learned” — it was every joke, every scolding, every bedtime story, every argument over cricket. Woven into every moment of childhood.
Then he moved abroad, started a family, and watched his daughter slowly drift away from it. She'd hear Hindi on calls with her grandparents, catch fragments at family gatherings — but she couldn't hold a real conversation. Weekend classes, tutors, language apps — nothing stuck. The classes felt like school. The apps treated Hindi like a foreign language. There was no spark.
The moment that changed everything was a video call with his mother. His daughter wanted to tell her Dadi about a school project. She started in English, paused, looked to her dad for help, and then just said “Namaste, Dadi” and went quiet. Her Dadi smiled, but you could see it in her eyes. And the little one felt it too. She just didn't have the words.
That night, one question wouldn't stop: why is this so hard? Hindi is one of the most expressive, playful languages in the world. Why isn't there something that makes it click for children growing up between two worlds?
The answer was simple — nobody had built it. So he brought together a team of parents, Hindi educators, child development thinkers, and technologists who all felt the same gap. Together, we set out to build the Hindi experience that should have existed all along.
That's Bolbala. Every story, game, video, and word we create comes back to one thing: a child who can actually speak Hindi — not just hear it around them.
What drives us
We believe Hindi shouldn't feel like homework. Our content team obsesses over making every story, game, and video something a child actually wants to come back to — rooted in culture, festivals, and the family connections that make the language come alive.
We think deeply about how children learn. Every piece of content shows Hindi and English side by side, so a child never feels lost. We design for curiosity first — the vocabulary and grammar follow naturally.
Our goal is simple: make Bolbala so good that children return on their own, without a parent asking them to. We know at least one child who does that every day — the founder's daughter. That's our north star.
Forever ad-free. No exceptions.
Bolbala will never show ads — not on the free tier, not in games, not between stories, not ever. If our founder wouldn't tolerate his own daughter being distracted or influenced by ads, he wouldn't tolerate it for anyone else's child either.
